New Galliker distribution platform for South-Eastern Switzerland

In order to ensure that the increasing transport volumes in the holiday region of Grisons, particularly in the chilled and frozen products segment, can be maintained in future we are expanding our network of branch offices to include our own premises in the district of Landquart. Galliker has already been operating a logistics hub in Landquart since 2002, however the space used to date has been leased from a customer. Increasing capacity problems; growing requirements in the food transport sector and confidence in the economic potential of the canton of Grisons have convinced us to set up our own branch office for the Landquart district.

The new distribution platform is sited in the "Tardisland" industrial zone in the municipality of Zizers. The geographic location, which is directly adjacent to the A13 motorway – the axis between Munich and Milan – and to Landquart’s railway station, make "Tardisland" the ideal base for a logistics company. The building will have its own railway sidings, providing ideal facilities for the shipment of goods both by rail and by road. The modern logistics centre will include handling and storage areas equipped for all the temperature zones in which Galliker operates.

In addition to the logistics infrastructure Galliker will also be creating additional office and trading space in this exciting commercial and industrial zone, which is ideal for companies seeking suitable premises in Landquart. The planned group of buildings will provide individually usable commercial space on two floors. Whether a showroom, sales outlet, training centre or even a gym, the multifunctional architecture offers a wide range of potential options for use.
