As early as 1918, Galliker was using horses to carry out transport jobs. The first truck soon followed, with the company's fleet carrying wood, feed, cheese and, on Sundays, people for customers in the region.

After the death of company founder Josef Galliker, Peter and Helene Galliker took over direction of the transport company in 1962. The company at the time had five vehicles and three employees.
