After an intensive planning phase the ground-breaking ceremony for the new logistics center in Staad has taken place on 29th March. The location at “Knotterenstrasse. 8” in the commune Thal SG is conveniently located due to the own rail connection as well as the nearby motorway exit Rheineck.

In the future the logistics center Staad will be the Galliker logistics platform for the region Eastern Switzerland. As a part of the national Galliker network, different goods will be distributed and collected in the region Lake Constance / Rhine Valley on bimodal traffic (Road & Rail) over the newly designed platforms allowing for temperature ranges: -24°C, 0 – 5°C as well as 15 – 18°C. For additional services Galliker offers to its customers in Staad storage rooms, order picking and unitisation facilities.

The opening of the new infrastructure and facilities will be in spring 2013.
