Together with our customer Hero, Galliker has developed and implemented a tailor-made integrated logistics concept. The previous cargo platform Däniken has been built in a large logistics-center for dry goods and ambient food of Hero. From the production site in Lenzburg as well as different import channels, homogeneous and palletised tinned products are delivered and stored in Däniken. From this place all orders for the Swiss Market are picked and shipped all over the world.
As an absolute innovation in the month of May this year, a fully automated high-tech facility for packaging portions of jam was put into operation. Computer and sensor controlled robots take over the complex task, to confect packings and portioning of all varieties. For this process the old packings will be reused gentle on resources as well as environmentally friendly for new packing units.
