Versatile training, optimally prepared

The Business Academy offers our commercial apprentices practical and varied training in which they develop not only specialist knowledge but also personal skills. A special feature at Galliker - the commercial apprentices change departments every 6 months. This gives them a comprehensive overview of the various areas in the company and familiarizes them with the processes, tasks and interfaces between the departments.

Introduction for new apprentices

The general induction days are followed by a separate induction program specifically for the Business Academy. In this program, apprentices are specifically prepared for their tasks and receive a sound introduction to the commercial processes at Galliker. This includes, among other things

  • Introduction to the PC environment and common programs for commercial work
  • Discussion of the Galliker mission statement and the sustainability report
  • Teaching working methods and organizational techniques in order to be able to work independently and efficiently
  • Training in communication and collaboration to facilitate cooperation within the departments
  • Targeted coaching for presentations, telephone calls and written communication

The induction program lays the foundation for structured, independent and successful work within the Academy and the changing departments.

Projects and tasks

Special assignments at the Business Academy often arise from assignments from the respective departments. This means that students take on real tasks from day-to-day business that are relevant and practical. This allows them to apply their skills directly, gain experience and play an active role in processes.

Use of the training rooms

The modern training rooms at Galliker Academy World serve not only as a place for theoretical learning, but also for practical workshops and training sessions. Examples of possible workshops:

  • Presentation training: learners practise preparing and giving presentations in front of colleagues
  • Communication workshop: Focus on professional telephoning, e-mail correspondence and conducting conversations

The training rooms thus offer a versatile learning environment in which learners develop both practical skills and social skills.

Special highlights

A highlight of the Business Academy is the combination of rotating departmental rotations and practical learning projects. This allows students to develop a deep understanding of the company and at the same time expand their skills in different areas. The separate induction program and workshops ensure that they are optimally prepared for their tasks and can take on responsibility at an early stage.
