Practical learning, sharing knowledge, creative design

The CarroLack Academy offers our apprentices a practical environment in which they can fully develop their technical, manual and creative skills. A special focus is placed on the principle of "learning while training" - apprentices actively pass on their knowledge to career changers, thereby consolidating their own expertise at the same time.

Introduction for new apprentices

New apprentices are carefully introduced to the Academy at the beginning. This includes a tour of the work areas, familiarization with the processes, materials and tools and an introduction to the team. In this way, apprentices are integrated into the work processes right from the start and become familiar with the Academy's organization and structure.

To the apprenticeships

The training rooms at the CarroLack Academy offer plenty of space for practical exercises and creative tasks. Here, trainees can consolidate what they have learned and practise various techniques, for example

  • Preparing vehicles for paint build-up and carrying out new and repainting work
  • Defining vehicle colors and precise adjustment for spot painting
  • Mixing paint quantities in accordance with ecological and economic standards
  • Labeling and partial wrapping of vehicles
  • Dismantling and assembling add-on parts in order to carry out painting work
  • Finishing and polishing work for perfect surface quality
  • Repairing deformed parts using dent removal, pulling and pressing techniques
  • Repairing hail damage, repairing or replacing windows
  • Dismantling, installing and connecting lighting and signaling systems as well as other electrical components
  • Precise fitting of body parts to preserve the vehicle structure
  • Creative design work such as airbrushing, decor design and surface techniques

Special highlights

A highlight of the CarroLack Academy is the individual and practical preparation for the qualification procedure (QV). The apprentices receive weekly feedback, exchange information about the school material and the inter-company courses and are specifically prepared for examinations. At the same time, the Academy encourages apprentices to take responsibility by actively passing on their knowledge to lateral entrants.

Through the combination of creative techniques, precision craftsmanship and practical repair and painting work, apprentices acquire a comprehensive understanding of all vehicle preparation and body repair processes. As a result, they are ideally equipped to make vehicles shine in all their glory.
