Galliker puts eSpectrum AG's first battery storage system into operation

On February 8, Galliker Transport AG put its first eCube battery storage system from eSpectrum AG into operation. The eCube is an innovative storage system that provides solar power produced during the day for on-demand use, thus enabling a sustainable energy supply for Galliker 's electric commercial vehicles.

By integrating the eCube into the existing infrastructure of Galliker Transport AG, the vehicles, which generally only return to their location in the evening, can also be charged with green electricity during the night. This helps to reduce the company's environmental impact and cut energy costs.

"We are delighted to have found a sustainable solution for the energy supply of our electric fleet with the eCube," says Peter Galliker, CEO of Galliker Transport AG. "The eCube enables us to use the solar power produced during the day at night and thus further improve our environmental footprint." Thomas Müller, project manager at Galliker Transport AG, adds: "The eCube helps us to optimize energy management on the site - we can smooth out power peaks and ensure efficient use of resources."

Scalable, individual solution for transport companies
The eCube is a modular solution that can be adapted to the individual needs of companies. This means that storage capacity and performance can be scaled as required. In addition, the eCube is compatible with a wide range of charging stations. "The eCube enables transport companies to convert their vehicle fleet to electromobility even with a low connected load and without expanding the grid," adds Pascal Walter, Head of Sales at eSpectrum AG. As a buffer storage unit for electricity, the eCube not only provides a sustainable source of energy for daily charging requirements, but also enables fast charging of vehicles without producing power peaks. This enables companies to save energy costs and at the same time make an important contribution to reducing CO2 emissions.

Significant contribution to the sustainability strategy of Galliker
The successful implementation of the eCube project underlines Galliker Transport AG's commitment to sustainable innovation and its mission to make energy supply more efficient and environmentally friendly. ESpectrum AG is proud to be part of "Green Logistics" and looks forward to further exciting projects in the future.

ESpectrum AG would like to thank all those involved, especially the client, for the successful implementation of this pioneering project. Together we have set a milestone for a more sustainable and efficient energy future.
