LANDI Luzern-West has put one of the most powerful hydrogen filling stations in Europe into operation at its site in Schötz. Three trucks and one car can be refueled with green hydrogen at the same time. The filling station is an energy hub and thus pioneering for the logistics and mobility of the future.
At the end of January, the 13th hydrogen filling station in Switzerland went into operation in Schötz, Lucerne, and thus the third of the AGROLA brand after Zofingen (AG) and Rothenburg (LU). LANDI Luzern-West is thus investing in the promising hydrogen mobility of the future, which is becoming increasingly important, especially in heavy goods traffic. The filling station is specially designed to meet the needs of trucks. "Numerous logistics companies are located in the immediate vicinity of our site. In close cooperation with them, a forward-looking energy hub has been created," says Mark Muff, Head of Energy and member of the management team at LANDI Lucerne West.
Unique in Europe is the fact that three trucks and one car can be refueled with hydrogen at the same time in Schötz. This ensures rapid processing of the H2 refueling operations. The parallel refueling is made possible by the installation of additional 9 medium pressure storage tanks, which are continuously filled with hydrogen from the mobile containers by means of compressors. As at all AGROLA filling stations, only green hydrogen is offered in Schötz, which comes 100 percent from renewable energy sources. Diesel and AdBlue® are also available at the filling station for vehicles with conventional drive systems.

With the energy hub in Schötz, LANDI Lucerne West is making an important contribution to the targeted decarbonization of road transport and to the implementation of the federal government's Energy Strategy 2050. "This is a further step towards sustainable mobility and a response to the increasing demand for environmentally friendly transport solutions," sums up energy manager Mark Muff.
