Galliker with hydrogen truck in action for Nestlé
In December 2020, Nestlé presented a Climate Action Plan: The company wants to halve its emissions by 2030 and reduce them to net zero by 2050. Galliker is supporting its long-term customer in achieving this goal: a hydrogen truck is on the road exclusively for Nestlé in a "dedicated service". It transports goods from the factories to the distribution centres and channels as well as to customers. The truck is powered by green hydrogen from the Gösgen hydroelectric power plant and emits only water vapour. This makes it completely CO2-neutral on the road.
Nestlé is a partner of the Galliker Green Logistics support association and is helping to accelerate the introduction of electric and hydrogen vehicles. With this commitment, Nestlé and the other partners of the association are making a direct, verifiable and sustainable contribution to reducing CO2 emissions.
