Participation via Swiss Combi AG to SBB Cargo AG
Swiss Combi AG – consisting of the logistics service providers Planzer Holding AG (40%), Camion Transport AG (40%), Galliker Holding AG (10%) and Bertschi AG (10%) – will holding a 35% stake in the SBB Cargo AG. The four family-owned companies want to make a contribution to a stronger market orientation of SBB Cargo AG. This participation still requires the approval of the relevant competition authorities.
The Swiss logistics companies Planzer, Camion Transport, Galliker and Bertschi have considerable transport volumes in the Swiss road and rail freight market and, because of their interest in a competitive Swiss rail freight company, have decided to invest in SBB Cargo AG through the joint company Swiss Combi AG. The four family-owned companies intend to further increase the competitiveness and profitability of SBB Cargo AG and thus make a positive contribution to a sustainable, climate-friendly division of labor between rail and road in Swiss freight transport.
SBB AG will remain the majority shareholder of SBB Cargo AG with 65%. Completion of the transaction is subject to approval by the relevant competition authorities and is planned for 2020.
Based on years of experience in combined rail / road transport, Galliker Holding AG will use Swiss Combi AG to set impulses for a successful further development of SBB Cargo.
