The construction of the logistics center Lucerne of Imbach Logistik is progressing rapidly
After the ground-breaking ceremony in Littauerboden on 13 August 2020, the "LC Luzern" project of Imbach Logistik, the subsidiary of Galliker Transport AG, is taking more and more shape and in the meantime the building shell has almost been completed.
The construction of the "Lucerne Logistics Centre" is progressing rapidly. The building shell is almost complete and the assembly of the high-bay warehouse is already finished. Currently, the building services are being installed and the pallet and container conveyor systems are being assembled. The assembly of the automatic small parts warehouse has recently started and the first commissioning work of the logistics facilities is underway.
The new logistics centre includes, among other things, a fully automated high-bay warehouse with 6,500 storage spaces for pallets and a fully automated small parts warehouse for up to 130,000 containers. Construction will take place in two stages. The first stage is scheduled for completion by the end of summer 2022. The second stage will last until autumn 2024, during which time the existing halls will make way for the new building. The new building will contain about 60 workplaces. The total area over all floors is 30,000 square metres - the equivalent of four football fields.
