First Volvo FH Electric tractor unit on the road for coop.ch in western Switzerland
It was with great pride and pleasure that our team at the Aclens (VD) branch took delivery of their first all-electric Volvo A Electric tractor unit in combination with the second electrically powered refrigerated trailer.
The noiseless and emission-free truck is used for shuttle transport between coop.ch RVZ Bussigny and the coop.ch distribution platform at Galliker in Conthey. It not only delights our customers but is also positively perceived by pedestrians and neighbours of the pick-up and delivery locations. The planned annual output is around 130,000 CO2-neutral kilometres driven. The noise and vibrations in the driver's cab are significantly lower than with diesel engines. Driving is therefore quiet and stress-free. In addition, an electric motor delivers its maximum torque right away, which enables a smooth power delivery.
